Incorporation of Silica Fumes and Waste Glass Powder on Concrete Properties Containing Crumb Rubber as a Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregates

چکیده

Waste management is the first priority for many countries, so focus of this research on using waste materials in concrete as fillers and substituting ingredients such crumb rubber (CR) fine aggregates. The utilization has gained attention recently, but CR substitution results a reduction mechanical durability properties due to weak bonding lower stiffness CR. To overcome issue, addition strength-increasing cement substitutes investigated along with (5%, 10%, 15%) aggregates tested behavior concrete. Constant 10% glass powder (WGP) silica fume (SF) were substituted separate mixes. main goal study investigate suitable proportion from SF WGP enhancing rubberized concrete’s evaluate materials’ uses considering various parameters. compared both used well control workability, compressive strength, tensile density, ultrasonic pulse velocity, dynamic modulus elasticity. elasticity was observed incorporation CR, also an increase these fumes cement. It that enhanced better WGP. 5% strength without by 11%. Similarly, 6%.

Study On Waste Tyre Rubber As Concrete Aggregates

At present the disposal of waste tyres is becoming a major waste management problem in the world. It is estimated that 1.2 billions of waste tyre rubber produced globally per year. It is estimated that 11% of post consumer tyres are exported and 27% are sent to landfill, stockpiled or dumped illegally and only 4% is used for civil engineering projects. Hence efforts have been taken to identify ...

Utilization of Solid Wastes (waste Glass and Rubber Particles) as Aggregates in Concrete

Post-consumer glass represents a major component of solid waste. On the other hand, more than 100 million tons of coal combustion ash are generated in the U.S. annually, of which 60 million tons are fly ash. To deal with these problems, two new materials were developed: “glascrete” and “ashcrete.” They have the potential of being made almost entirely from recycled materials: crushed mix-color w...

Studies on Glass Powder as Partial Replacement of Cement in Concrete Production

Cement manufacturing industry is one of the carbon dioxide emitting sources besides deforestation and burning of fossil fuels. The global warming is caused by the emission of green house gases, such as CO2, to the atmosphere. Among the greenhouse gases,CO2 contributes about 65% of global warming. The global cement industry contributes about 7% of greenhouse gas emission to the earth’s atmospher...

Experimental Investigation on Glass Powder as Partial Replacement of Cement for M - 30 Concrete

Glass is needed in several forms in today’s life. Its life is limited, and after use it is either stored into sharp edged or sent to landfills. As we know glass is non-biodegradable, landfills does not recommend any environment friendly solution. In India as a most developing country, facing shortage of post consumer’s disposal waste site and it’s become very serious problems. Hence, there is s...
